A Letter from our Founder, Reggie Bibbs

Dear friends,

Reggie and his brother, Byron.
Reggie and his brother, Byron.

As some of you may know, I am a man of meager means. Part of this is because of my NF, but part of it is also due to the way I’ve chosen to lead my life.

I live simply. I don’t need much and I am not a complainer. I have a firm faith in God, Country and my fellow man. I don’t need a big house, a nice car or perfect health because I have spent a lifetime figuring out what is truly important: living comfortably within my means and enjoying the companionship of others.

But no matter how frugal I may be, sometimes even the simplest needs of the Just Ask! Foundation are beyond my ability to provide.

When people find this out, they often say “If I only knew you needed something, I might have been able to donate it to your cause!”

Like when I needed new shelves for my t-shirts, and my friend Lou Congelio helped me out by donating some really nice shelves he wasn’t using anymore. Sometimes it just works out that a particular company or individual happens to have exactly what I need.

Reggie and his mom.

So, if you happen to be one of those people or companies that is in a position where you are able to make a positive difference in someone else’s circumstances—or mine— I am asking you to please do so.

As you may know, a big part of Just Ask! Happens via the Internet. It has truly opened the world to me. And now we have an online store!

I’ve always felt that life simply “comes at you” whether you are ready or not… and it’s how we react to life’s challenges that I believe is a person’s measure. For all of you reading this that have helped others through volunteering or charitable donations, allow me to say “Thank You” on behalf of everyone that ever needed the help of their fellow human beings.

Now, go out and “Make it a Tremendous Day!”

Thank You!

Thank You!I want to say thank you to all of my friends for the support in making the dream of the Just Ask! Tour Bus a reality. Without your prayers, finical support, manual labor, and the kind words that so many of you offer everyday. I wouldn’t be where I stand today if it were not for your support, And for that Lou and I thank you.
My next point I want to make. If you have a dream or a desire to accomplish. Expect setbacks expect tears and very hard times. Ask Ask us. Didn’t mean for the play on words, but it’s true. Lou and I will tell you. These are things we experienced in this bus campaine. Somedays you may feel like it’s to hard. But if you never give up, you can make your dream happen. It may not happen as quickly as you want, but with a little pataince faith, and believing in yourself. You can make your dream a reality.

Happy NF Awareness Month!!

With this being Neurofibromatosis Awareness Month, I want to share the new look of my Just Ask website. Going into the 6th year of Just Ask!. With over 900 followers, and 5,000 friends, I believe a tremendous difference has been made in my life, as well as the lives of others.

Reggie Bibbs, Founder

My goal is to create awareness and support those who are affected. I can not find a cure, that is the job of all the terrific researchers, that are working hard at finding a cure. While the researchers are working, I will continue to do all I can to support all that reach out to me for a listing ear. It is only going to get better, and I will reach more to those who are willing to listen. It is NF awareness month every month if you ask me.

The perfect radio interview with Al Hayter.

Great news! A local Internet radio station called me, well, actually, Facebooked me to see if I would be willing to be interviewed on their station. I said, “Duh, yeah!!!” So they interviewed me and Lou on the radio yesterday.  The station’s url is WAYMOREFM.COM

I was nervous about being interviewed, even though I have been interviewed many times.    When Al Hayter, the Host, walked in the room, and introduced himself to me, I felt like I had known him for years! What a nice guy!.  We had a talk before going on the air.  It was a terrific conversation.

I wasn’t nervous at all talking to Al.  I’m thankful for the invitation to speak on the radio. I felt as though I can talk to Al for hours. It was a pleasure talking to Al.  I will keep in contact with Al, someone who I feel,  I can call a friend.

Lou will be posting the interview here in a day or so as soon as he gets off of his lazy butt! (Just kidding, Lou!) .They videoed it so you’ll be able to see us in living color!  Let’s thank Al for helping with awareness NF. You will like Al as much as I do. Below are links to the radio station and Al’s Facebook page. Please Like them if, well, you like them! I know you will.

Here are the details on Al’s show: It’s funny.  It’s mesmerizing.  It’s the talk show with less talk!  Monday – Friday, 4 -5pm. Only here on WAYMOREFM.COM!
