Colin Hay at the Dosey Do in Houston, 3/2/11

Last night was an amazing evening. My Friends at Dosey Do, made me feel welcome once again this year.  A big thank you to all the staff for a wonderful job.

Collin Hay,   If you ever want to meet a  kind  composer, entertainer, and just an all around good guy, then you need to meet Collin Hay.  He wowed the crowed, with his music, and  stories.  Yes, and he sang one for me. “Waiting For My Real Life To Begin.”  That made it a special evening for me Everyone loved it as much as I did.   I also met a lot of new friends last night. Very nice people who gave me more things to smile about it.   Thanks to everyone who took photos with me.  I hope you view all the photos by following the link below.

You can see all the photos here:

Reggie’s friend, Colin Hay of “Men at Work” at the Dosey Doe in Houston tonight, 3/2/11!!!

Tonight is the concert we’ve been waiting for all year long!!! Colin Hay is coming back to Houston tonight to play at the Dosey Doe.

If you remember last year, we had an incredible time! Colin, who never dedicates songs to anyone, dedicated the last song of the evening, “Waiting for my real life to begin,” to Reggie. You can watch it below by clicking Colin’s photo.

After the show, we hung out with Colin for about an hour talking about neurofibromatosis, Colin’s career, Reggie’s life and Colin’s life on the road. Oh, yeah, we also took LOTS of photos!

If you’re in the area, I-45, just south of Rayford/Sawdust, stop on in! We’re going to have a contingent of “Just Ask!” veterans as well as recruiting new “Just Ask!” ambassadors. Come on out and we’ll give you a free t-shirt, a photo with Reggie and Colin, and our everlasting thanks!

This is what Reggie said last year after the concert:

“What can I say? Last night was the time of my life.  We went to see Colin Hay, of “Men at Work,” at the Dosey Doe in the Woodlands. Thanks to my friend, Matt Jones, for talking the time and effort to make this meeting happen. For someone as famous as Colin to take the time to meet and talk to me, was the best thing that ever happened to me. And for him to mention my name before he sang my favorite song, “Waiting for my real life to begin,”was incredible.  What more can anyone ask for.  Colin talked to me for a long peroid of time. And he made me feel like I’ve known him for years.   His new hit “California” is terrific! I know I’m going to support Collin Hay as he is supporting JUST  ASK! by wearing my shirt to help spread awareness for nf. I hope anyone that has nf will support Collin as he is helping support nf. Buy his cd’s!”
