It’s that time again. National Doodle Day. This is the 3rd year that I happy to help with getting the word out about doodle day. A few of my friends, Kevin Nealon, and some of Kevin’s friends gave turned in doodles. Also my friend Sugar Ray Leonard helped again this year as well. To make sure all the information is correct, I have all the information from the website. I’m happy to do my part by passing information to you.
As part of NF Awareness month, celebrity doodles are available for auction on eBay during May. These doodles have a very important aim: the funds they raise will benefit NF, Inc., an organization dedicated to providing support to individuals and families affected by neurofibromatosis (NF).
For those of you new to this website, neurofibromatosis is a genetic disorder that affects one in every 2,500 births. NF is more common than Cystic Fibrosis, Muscular Dystrophy and Huntington’s Disease combined. Funds raised from the Doodle Day auction will go to support education, advocacy, coalitions, and research for treatments and a cure. To learn more about NF, please visit www.nfinc.org. Last night was Houston Roller Derby night! I wasn’t able to make it to the first bout of the season so last night was special. Really special when the derby stars and the announcers notice Reggie wasn’t there last week. When I was spotted, even wearing my dark perception glasses to keep all the groupies from recognizing me, I was still noticed! I think it was the gold Just Ask shirt that made me stand out. Can’t think of any other reason.
I send a big thank you to HRD, to Jeckyll and Heidi, Mistilla, Sick Nick, Baby Face Assassin, Mangler Mario Martinez, photographer Danny Nguyen, Carmen Geddit and everyone at the Derby for making me feel so welcome. I know that the friends I make at Roller Derby will be a friendship that will last a lifetime. Looking forward to the next one. Hope to see you there.

Hot, sweaty roller derby action is back at Kicks and Lou and I are going this Saturday! Sure will miss some of the skaters that retired last year but look forward to meeting the new skaters who are taking their place.
I love Houston Roller Derby! The women who skate are tough on the outside but are the sweetest, most wonderful people on the inside. Every time I go, they make me feel like I’m the most important person in the world!
“Follow the lives of three young individuals who fight against a disease that causes tumors to spread through the body.'”
This is Adgiant talking. Just watched the MTV Special Episode, “I Have NF” and I think it is fantastic. They didn’t try to sensationalize the disorder but instead tried to accurately portray, through the lives of three people, how NF has affected them and how they are dealing with it. Very positive. Very uplifting. Very you gotta watch it!

I talked to Reggie last night and he was on Cloud 9! He said the entire experience was “amazing” and yesterday was one of the most incredible days of his life!
He got to spend a lot of time talking with Dr. Riccardi, the “Father of NF Research and Treatment” and Reggie’s first NF doctor. He was extremely happy about that and also sitting at the same table as Dr, Riccardi and Rosemary Anderson at the event. Rosemary is President of Western Michigan NF and also mother of actress Gillian Anderson.
He took lots of photos, sold lots of t-shirts and made a ton of new friends. Good job, Reggie, we’re so proud of you!
