Thank You!I want to say thank you to all of my friends for the support in making the dream of the Just Ask! Tour Bus a reality. Without your prayers, finical support, manual labor, and the kind words that so many of you offer everyday. I wouldn’t be where I stand today if it were not for your support, And for that Lou and I thank you.
My next point I want to make. If you have a dream or a desire to accomplish. Expect setbacks expect tears and very hard times. Ask Ask us. Didn’t mean for the play on words, but it’s true. Lou and I will tell you. These are things we experienced in this bus campaine. Somedays you may feel like it’s to hard. But if you never give up, you can make your dream happen. It may not happen as quickly as you want, but with a little pataince faith, and believing in yourself. You can make your dream a reality.

With this being Neurofibromatosis Awareness Month, I want to share the new look of my Just Ask website. Going into the 6th year of Just Ask!. With over 900 followers, and 5,000 friends, I believe a tremendous difference has been made in my life, as well as the lives of others.

Reggie Bibbs, Founder

My goal is to create awareness and support those who are affected. I can not find a cure, that is the job of all the terrific researchers, that are working hard at finding a cure. While the researchers are working, I will continue to do all I can to support all that reach out to me for a listing ear. It is only going to get better, and I will reach more to those who are willing to listen. It is NF awareness month every month if you ask me.

Some friendsand and I went to see Kevin Nealon at the Improv last night. Click on the link, valt then photo. Check out the photos on his website, as well as the photos of my facebook, and flickr page.  I met Kevin a fews years ago in California, when visting my friend Scott. That is how I met Kevin. I’ve been friends with Kevin 3 years after that day. Kevin contact me to say he would be in Houston, and he would like for me to come see him. We did, and he really made me happy, as he did the same for my friends.

This is what Kevin did for me.  He wore my just ask shirt on stage. He gave me free tickets. He talk to me after the show, Was not in a rush to leave. He posed for photos with me. He collect lots of doodles for National Doodle Day.

Joan Rivers, Jane Leeves, Wendie Malick, Jon Lovitz, Valerie Bertinelli, Garry Shandling, Roseanne Barr, and of course Kevin Nealon.   And Kevin gave me this medallion. It was given to him by Brad Paisley. It reads Expect Great Things.  Kevin really made me happy, and Im thinkful for what he is doing for all of us that are affect by NF.

Great news! A local Internet radio station called me, well, actually, Facebooked me to see if I would be willing to be interviewed on their station. I said, “Duh, yeah!!!” So they interviewed me and Lou on the radio yesterday.  The station’s url is WAYMOREFM.COM

I was nervous about being interviewed, even though I have been interviewed many times.    When Al Hayter, the Host, walked in the room, and introduced himself to me, I felt like I had known him for years! What a nice guy!.  We had a talk before going on the air.  It was a terrific conversation.

I wasn’t nervous at all talking to Al.  I’m thankful for the invitation to speak on the radio. I felt as though I can talk to Al for hours. It was a pleasure talking to Al.  I will keep in contact with Al, someone who I feel,  I can call a friend.

Lou will be posting the interview here in a day or so as soon as he gets off of his lazy butt! (Just kidding, Lou!) .They videoed it so you’ll be able to see us in living color!  Let’s thank Al for helping with awareness NF. You will like Al as much as I do. Below are links to the radio station and Al’s Facebook page. Please Like them if, well, you like them! I know you will.

Here are the details on Al’s show: It’s funny.  It’s mesmerizing.  It’s the talk show with less talk!  Monday – Friday, 4 -5pm. Only here on WAYMOREFM.COM!

As promised, I intend to pay tribute to each and everyone who sends me a photo of themselves or someone else they know, wearing one of my Just Ask T-Shirts.

I see by these outward expressions that people really do care about those with NF and spreading the word, they care first by purchasing one of my shirts and by wearing the shirt in public, and lastly by taking the time to have their picture taken. Here is what I desire; send me a picture of you or someone else wearing one of my shirts. I think this is going to be a lot of fun, lets see just how public everyone can be, the more people around, the better exposure NF will have, (a little raise in shirt sales won’t hurt ether.)

Some of you may not have received your orders as yet, but I’m sure you will receive it soon. I personally fold and prepare each shirt for shipment, and try to stay caught up as best as is possible. The photos will be posted, as they are received. Old pictures are ok too, it is never too late, even if your shirt is faded it’s ok. I’m looking forward to receiving yours soon. If you only have hard copy pictures, that’s ok, I’ll find someone to scan them and I’ll return the originals if requested. Please no inappropriate photos, G-Rated only please, Also please include your name properly spelled as you desire or maybe written on the back of the hard copies. Thank you! Reggie

Today Lou and I went to the Village Shoe Shop.  The last time I had shoes made was  two years ago.  So it was time for new shoes.  I’m thankful for my friend Lee Headley taking care of the cost of my shoes. I would not have been able to buy them.

My friends Edie, and Ester, at Village Shoe Shop, took care of everything to start the process. I should have new shoes in about 4 to 6 weeks. Stay tuned to see the posting with me sporting my new shoes.

While I was there, My Facebook friend, Kim Reed,  saw my post about me going to the shoe shop and wanted to stop by but she wasn’t able to make it.  She asked her husband Joe to come and see me.

I know Kim and Joe Reid from Second Baptist Church, where I attend. I was happy to see Joe again, and I look forward to seeing Kim soon. It really turned out to be one of those days.  A Tremendous Day for sure!  Enjoy the photos.

What a amazing week this has turned out to be!

I was able to hang out with Greg Gorman, Arther Meyerson, and Lou Congelio.

It started on Thursday when Lou and I visited Greg at the Decorative Center where he was setting up for his photography opening on Wednesday, April 27. Lou and I visited with Greg, checked out the exhibit then had a great lunch with Greg and the guys setting up the show.

Then today, Greg and my other photographer friend, Arthur Meyerson, came over to the house to visit with Mom and myself. Of course Greg brought his camera and took some great photos of me!

Yes, it was tremendous, and terrific!  Then it was time for lunch.  Lou took us to my favorite restaurant, Tila’s on Shepherd in River Oaks. Great conversation over lunch and more photo ops.  It couldn’t have been any better then it was today. It was fun giving each other a hard time.  Something we always enjoy. Lot’s of laughing lots of love.  Thank you Arther, Greg, and Lou.

It was a bittersweet day for me. Johnny Howell was remembered today. She was my first teacher. She was a angle when I met her, and for sure she is one today. I was blessed today to share some wonderful memories about Mrs. Howell. Thank you Jim Bettis for allowing me to be there. I was happy to let everyone know about the great things she has help with. I’m proud that Johnny has help me be the person I am today. My best to Mr. Howell (Larry) and everyone who loved Johnny.

Last night was an amazing evening. My Friends at Dosey Do, made me feel welcome once again this year.  A big thank you to all the staff for a wonderful job.

Collin Hay,   If you ever want to meet a  kind  composer, entertainer, and just an all around good guy, then you need to meet Collin Hay.  He wowed the crowed, with his music, and  stories.  Yes, and he sang one for me. “Waiting For My Real Life To Begin.”  That made it a special evening for me Everyone loved it as much as I did.   I also met a lot of new friends last night. Very nice people who gave me more things to smile about it.   Thanks to everyone who took photos with me.  I hope you view all the photos by following the link below.
