Brenda Nelson is the parent of a child with autism and is a former teacher. She is a graduate of the Disability Leadership Network of Houston advocacy training program, and founder and coordinator of a large parent support network in Katy. Brenda is also a Texas Parent to Parent Speaker and Outreach Network volunteer. She is currently working for Katy ISD as an administrative assistant to diagnosticians on three elementary campuses.
